Metzger Wickersham Presents the Road to Safety Scholarship Contest

For the eighth year in a row, Metzger Wickersham is awarding deserving high school seniors through our Road to Safety Scholarship Contest!

The Road to Safety Scholarship Contest is our annual competition that aims to raise awareness about driving safety and provide local students with money for college. The contest is open to any Pennsylvania high school senior who will be attending college after graduation.

We offer three prizes through the scholarship contest: $1,000 to the first-place winner, $750 to the second-place winner, and $500 to the third-place winner. We give out multiple scholarships to seniors in each of these categories.

In 2019, we gave out Road to Safety Scholarships to six college-bound students. Our first-place entries were Brooke Schwartz’s video/audio PSA and Nikkos Saviolis’ painting. The winners were graduates of Dallastown High School and Wallenpaupack High School, respectively. The second and third place winners were Jaime Yaukey, Lauren Shank, Alex Bisignani, and Kayla Pyles.

How Do I Enter the Road to Safety Scholarship Contest?

To qualify for the Road to Safety Scholarship, applying seniors must make a poster, painting, drawing, digital illustration, video, audio PSA, song, dance, or another creative project that focuses on the dangers of reckless, distracted, and drunk driving. Scholarship winners will be chosen based on their project’s creativity and effectiveness in promoting safe driving.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 15, 2020! Applicants can submit their entries via email, mail, or directly to our firm’s office.

The Road to Safety Scholarship Contest is reflective of our firm’s mission to give back to our community and promote safe driving. For more information about the scholarship and to view entries from past winners, visit our page about the contest.
