Attorney Zach Campbell Obtains $75,000.00 Award For His Injured Client at Arbitration

Recently, an award of $75,000.00 was obtained at a private arbitration for a Metzger Wickersham client who was injured after a motor vehicle crash. Attorney Campbell represented the client throughout the litigation process and during the arbitration. The arbitrator awarded $25,000.00 more than what was offered by the defense prior to the arbitration.

The case stemmed from a crash that occurred in rural Lancaster County, where the defendant pulled from the stop sign directly in front of Metzger Wickersham’s client. During the proceedings, the defendant attempted to argue the client was speeding. Attorney Campbell was able to successfully argue that there was no evidence his client was speeding and the arbitrator agreed there was no evidence to support that claim.

Attorney’s Campbell’s client had to undergo surgery on her wrist and testified she still had ongoing symptoms. Although the defense hired an expert doctor to review the client’s treatment, the doctor ended up agreeing with the client’s own surgeon regarding the severity of her injuries. The arbitrator ultimately found Attorney Campbell’s client credible and found in her favor.

“We advised the client in this case we believed the case was worth more than the original top settlement offer presented by the defense. Although there were some risks involved in proceeding to arbitration, we ultimately felt and recommended this was the best course of action for the client. In the end, we were able to get a substantially higher award for our client,” commented Attorney Campbell after the award was received.
