Pennsylvania State Police say two women have been killed by an out-of-control tractor trailer on Interstate 81. The women have been identified as 19-year-old Haley Wetzel, and her passenger, 60-year-old Julia Williams, both of Pottsville, PA.

Troopers say the crashed happened around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 near the Route 72 exit in Lebanon County.

A truck operated by a 45-year-old Texas man, Audencio Mendoza, was traveling southbound when he lost control. Mendoza crossed the median into the northbound lanes, striking the car driven by Haley Wetzel. Mendoza was treated for only a minor injury.

Police are currently conducting an investigation, and no charges or citations have been filed at this time.
