Why Attorney Brown Practices Law
According to Mr. Brown, “I have seen far too many people taken advantage of over the years by large insurance companies that control everything from the policy language to the money to be paid out in an accident. Even where language seems to clearly favor an insured or injured individual and the value of the damages appears high, insurance companies all too often provide improper denials or unjust lowball offers to try to get people in our communities to accept far less than what they deserve. I pride myself in standing up to the large insurance companies on behalf of the good people of Central Pennsylvania who find themselves injured by no fault of their own.”
The Case That Changed It All
In 2018 Mr. Brown represented a young couple who were injured by a drunk driver. The vehicle they were in rolled over and they were both badly injured. The person who caused the accident had state minimum insurance, which clearly was not enough to fully compensate either of them, let alone both. Through research, investigation, and advocacy, Mr. Brown was able to identify and obtain additional policy limit settlements with several different underinsured motorist coverage policies covering both themselves and their family members through legal theories including:
While the case may not have had the largest settlement/verdict that Mr. Brown has obtained on behalf of a client, it is one case that fuels his passion for representing injured victims. Brown said, “This case offered me a lesson that it is always important to not be satisfied with the easy result and to continue to fight and investigate to find all applicable coverage to make sure injured victims receive all of the compensation they deserve.”
